The project construction is nearly complete and staff requests <br />Council authorization to declare the costs to be assessed. <br /> <br />The project improvements include extension of sanitary sewer and water services to serve the <br />Acres of Bald Eagle development, including storm sewer and street construction. The developer <br />is responsible for the costs associated with the Acres of Bald Eagle, which includes surface and <br />drainage improvements of 121st Street. The development costs are not considered as part of this <br />assessment but are paid by the developer under separate agreement. <br /> <br />Existing properties along 121st Street North and Falcon Avenue North are responsible for costs <br />associated with extension of sanitary sewer services and water services to the individual lots as <br />provided in the feasibility report. The estimated amount to be assessed to these twelve (12) <br />benefitting properties is $113,315.64, including construction and indirect costs. <br /> <br />Staff recommends Council approve Resolution declaring the cost to be assessed, and ordering <br />preparation of the proposed assessment roll in accordance with MS 429. <br /> <br />Upon Council approval of the resolution declaring costs to be assessed, staff requests Council <br />authorization to set the date for the hearing on proposed assessment on September 19, 2022. <br /> <br />Staff recommends Council approve Resolution for hearing on proposed assessment for the 121st <br />Street North and Acres of Bald Eagle Utility and Street Improvements, in accordance with MS <br />429. <br /> <br />If you have any questions or items you wish to discuss, you can contact me at 651-286-8463. <br /> <br />Sincerely, <br /> <br />WSB & Associates, Inc. <br /> <br />Mark Erichson, PE <br />City Engineer <br />
