BACKGROUND MEMO FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MONDAY AUGUST 15, 2022 <br /> <br />D.1 Minutes for the August 1, 2022 Council Meeting <br /> <br />Staff recommends Council approve the above meeting minutes as presented. <br /> <br />G.1 Approve Claims Roster <br /> <br />Staff recommends Council approve the Claims Roster as presented. <br /> <br />G.2 Approve Annual Performance Review for Public Works Worker Matt Klein <br /> <br />Public Works Worker Matt Klein was hired by the City of Hugo on August 27, 2012. Public <br />Works Director Scott Anderson recommends Council approve the Annual Performance Review <br />for Public Works Worker Matt Klein. <br /> <br />G.3 Approve Annual Performance Review for Public Works Lead Worker Mike Loeffler <br /> <br />Mike Loeffler was hired as a Maintenance Worker for the City of Hugo’s Public Works <br />Department on August 5, 2002. On October 17, 2011, Mike was promoted to be the Public <br />Works Lead Worker. Public Works Director Scott Anderson recommends Council approve the <br />annual performance review for Public Works Lead Worker Mike Loeffler <br /> <br />G.4 Approve Resignation of Cameron Barukzoy from the Hugo Fire Department <br /> <br />Cameron Barukzoy was approved as a probationary Firefighter effective December 6, 2021. In <br />July, Cameron submitted his letter of resignation from the Fire Department due to family <br />obligations. Staff recommends Council approve the resignation of Cameron Barukzoy effective <br />immediately. <br /> <br />G.5 Approve Special Event Permit for Liberty Classical Academy Fall Festival <br />September 24, 2022 <br /> <br />Liberty Classical Academy is requesting a Special Event Permit to hold their Fall Harvest <br />Festival on September 24, 2022, from noon to 5 p.m. at their new school at 10158 122nd Street <br />N. (formerly Withrow School). This event is open to the community. The event will host a <br />vendor market and kidzone activities. This event requires a Special Event Permit approved by <br />Council because there will be more than 200 people in attendance and outdoor music may be <br />available. Staff recommends Council approve the Special Event Permit for Liberty Classical <br />Academy Fall Festival as outlined on their application and attached email. <br /> <br />G.6 Approve Ordinance Rezoning Shores of Oneka Lake to Planned Unit Development <br />(PUD) <br /> <br />At its June 2, 2022, meeting the City Council approved the preliminary plat and PUD for a <br />residential development known as The Shores of Oneka Lake. The property was rezoned to <br />PUD with the approval. Staff recommends approval of the ordinance to rezone the property and <br />for it to be published in The Citizen newspaper.
