BACKGROUND MEMO FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MONDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2022 <br /> <br />D.1 Minutes for October 17, 2022, Council Meeting <br /> <br />Staff recommends Council approve the minutes for the City Council meeting held on October <br />17, 2022, as presented. <br /> <br />G.1 Approve Claims Roster <br /> <br />Staff recommends Council approve the Claims Roster as presented. <br /> <br />F.1 Hugo Lions Club Donation to the Washington County Dive Team <br /> <br />The Hugo Lions Club will be presenting a donation to the Washington County Dive Team. <br /> <br />G.2 Approve Annual Performance Review for Public Works Worker Kraig Pettee <br /> <br />Kraig Pettee was hired as a Public Works Worker starting November 12, 2018. Kraig had <br />worked the three previous summers as a seasonal worker. Public Works Director Scott <br />Anderson recommends Council approve the annual performance review of Public Works Worker <br />Kraig Pettee. <br /> <br />G.3 Approve Snowmobile Trail Applications for Hugo Snowmobile Club and Rice Creek <br />Trail Association <br /> <br />The Hugo Snowmobile Club and the Rice Creek Trail Association have submitted their <br />respective Snowmobile Trail Applications for the 2022-2023 snow season. Staff recommends <br />Council approve the Snowmobile Trail Applications for the Hugo Snowmobile Club and the <br />Rice Creek Trail Association. <br /> <br />G.4 Approve Renewal of Auto Dismantling License for Hugo Auto and Truck Parts <br /> <br />The City of Hugo received an application for the bi-annual Auto Dismantling License for Mike <br />Brandt, dba Auto and Truck Parts. As a requirement of the license, City staff conducts annual <br />inspection of the auto dismantling company for compliance with city, county, and state code. On <br />October 31, 2022. Hugo City staff completed the inspection and found it to be in compliance <br />with City Code as well as County regulations. City staff recommends Council approve the <br />biannual Auto Dismantling License for Hugo Auto & Truck Parts. <br /> <br />G.5 Approve Resolution Approving Variance for Accessory Building at 12776 Goodview <br />Ave. N. - Wolfe <br /> <br />The applicants are asking for a variance to construct a 1,500 square foot accessory building for <br />the storage of vehicles. The requested variance is to allow for the accessory building to be placed <br />in front of the principal building relative to the street. Staff recommends Council approve the <br />resolution approving the request for a variance at 12776 Goodview Avenue North. <br />
