BACKGROUND MEMO FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING MONDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2022 D.1 Minutes for October 17, 2022, Council Meeting Staff recommends Council approve the minutes for the City Council meeting held on October 17, 2022, as presented. G.1 Approve Claims Roster Staff recommends Council approve the Claims Roster as presented. F.1 Hugo Lions Club Donation to the Washington County Dive Team The Hugo Lions Club will be presenting a donation to the Washington County Dive Team. G.2 Approve Annual Performance Review for Public Works Worker Kraig Pettee Kraig Pettee was hired as a Public Works Worker starting November 12, 2018. Kraig had worked the three previous summers as a seasonal worker. Public Works Director Scott Anderson recommends Council approve the annual performance review of Public Works Worker Kraig Pettee. G.3 Approve Snowmobile Trail Applications for Hugo Snowmobile Club and Rice Creek Trail Association The Hugo Snowmobile Club and the Rice Creek Trail Association have submitted their respective Snowmobile Trail Applications for the 2022-2023 snow season. Staff recommends Council approve the Snowmobile Trail Applications for the Hugo Snowmobile Club and the Rice Creek Trail Association. G.4 Approve Renewal of Auto Dismantling License for Hugo Auto and Truck Parts The City of Hugo received an application for the bi-annual Auto Dismantling License for Mike Brandt, dba Auto and Truck Parts. As a requirement of the license, City staff conducts annual inspection of the auto dismantling company for compliance with city, county, and state code. On October 31, 2022. Hugo City staff completed the inspection and found it to be in compliance with City Code as well as County regulations. City staff recommends Council approve the biannual Auto Dismantling License for Hugo Auto & Truck Parts. G.5 Approve Resolution Approving Variance for Accessory Building at 12776 Goodview Ave. N. - Wolfe The applicants are asking for a variance to construct a 1,500 square foot accessory building for the storage of vehicles. The requested variance is to allow for the accessory building to be placed in front of the principal building relative to the street. Staff recommends Council approve the resolution approving the request for a variance at 12776 Goodview Avenue North.
