<br />Call to Order <br /> <br />Mayor Weidt called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />COUNCIL PRESENT: Klein, Miron, Petryk, Strub, Weidt <br />COUNCIL ABSENT: None <br />OTHERS PRESENT: City Administrator Bryan Bear, City Engineer Mark Erichson, City <br />Attorney Dave Snyder, Community Development Director Rachel Juba, City Clerk Michele <br />Lindau <br /> <br />Minutes for October 17, 2022, Council Meeting <br /> <br />Klein made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the minutes for the City Council meeting held on <br />October 17, 2022, as presented. <br /> <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Approval of Agenda <br /> <br />Weidt made motion, Klein seconded, to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />All Ayes. Motion carried <br /> <br />Hugo Lions Club Donation to the Washington County Dive Team <br /> <br />Jason Schweiger from the Hugo Lions Club talked about annual Ribfest the Club held in <br />September. Donation were collected for the Washington County Dive Team. Jason spoke briefly <br />about the families affected. Jason said Ribfest was a success in spite of the bad weather. He <br />thanked the Council for their ongoing support of the Lions Club. The Lions presented a check in <br />the amount of $5,050 to the Dive Team. <br />Mayor Weidt said the Council appreciates what the Lions do and the events they sponsor. He said <br />he looks forward to a continued partnership. <br />Washington County Sheriff Dan Starry thanked the Lions for holding the event. Starry said the <br />Dive Team plays a crucial role that serves the function of bringing closure to families as quickly as <br />possible. The dive team is not highlighted enough and Starry talked about Jim Anderson, a Dive <br />Team member who had been there since 1996. Jim had worked at the 35W bridge collapse and <br />had volunteer over 2,000 hours to the County. Starry said he was grateful to the Lions Club <br />because the money will go to good use for equipment for the Dive Team, and he thanked the <br />Council for their support. <br />The Mayor called for a short break.
