After a full transition the Fire Department would best be supported with the following positions: <br /> Fulltime Fire Chief (salaried) <br />The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all <br />inclusive; other duties may be required or assigned. Paid a salary for all work performed. <br /> Responsible for overall department operations <br /> <br /> Responsible for HR/personnel issues within the department <br /> <br /> Oversight of department annual budget and planning for future budget items and Capital <br />improvements <br /> <br /> Grant application and management <br /> <br /> MNFIRS reporting, payroll for paid on call staff and percentage tracking for attendance <br /> <br /> Emergency call response <br /> <br /> City, county, and regional meetings <br /> <br /> Fire Marshal duties <br /> <br /> Hiring and on boarding new firefighters <br /> <br /> Coordinates and overseas the pubic fire prevention education programs <br /> <br /> Technology equipment management <br /> <br />Paid on Call Deputy Chief (salary + hourly pay) <br />The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all <br />inclusive; other duties may be required or assigned. Paid a salary for administrative work, and hourly for <br />emergency calls and training. <br /> Emergency call response <br /> Provides administrative reporting duties to the Chief <br /> Assist Fire Chief with hiring and on boarding of new hires <br /> Gear, PPE equipment ordering and management <br /> Assist Fire Chief with personnel issues
