<br />Budget Impact <br />The budget impact to hire a full time chief would be done by eliminating 8 of the officer salaries <br />to offset the cost of the full time chief’s salary and benefits. Currently the fiscal year 2022 <br />budgeted officers’ salaries that would be eliminated are $51,060. The Fire Chief position would <br />be a Police/Fire PERA plan position. <br />The salary range was based on departments of similar size within the metro area.
