This fundraising event would consist of a
rib cooking contest and Corn Hole tournament. Lions Member Jason Schwieger presented their
plan to Council and requested the Council co-sponsor the event by waiving the Special Event
Permit fee and providing Washington County deputies.

Jason explained the Rib Contest was usually held during Good Neighbor Days but became too
big of an event. He said one of the judges would be the Mayor and he was hoping to get
someone from Washington County Water Rescue. In addition, there would be professional
judges from the Kansas City Barbeque Society.

Minutes

HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING
HUGO CITY HALL

MONDAY, AUGUST 1, 2022 – 7 P.M.
