Minutes <br /> Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Commission <br /> Meeting of January 18, 2023 <br /> Hugo City Hall, 7:00 pm <br /> Present:Cathy Moore-Arcand, Valerie Boyd, Mat Rauschendorfer, Meredith St. Pierre, Ranell Tennyson, <br /> Jim Compton Sr. (Alternate). <br /> Absent: Emily McGinnity <br /> Staff Present: Scott Anderson, Public Works Director <br /> Shayla Denaway, Parks Planner <br /> Debi Close, Parks Secretary <br /> Chair St. Pierre called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. <br /> 1. Approval of Minutes from the October 19, 2022 Meeting <br /> Rauschendorfer made a motion, Moore-Arcand seconded to approve the minutes of the October 19, 2022 <br /> Parks Commission Minuets. <br /> All aye. <br /> Motion approved. <br /> 2. Oaths of Office <br /> Valerie Boyd and Jim Compton Sr. read the Oath of Office as new members of the Park Commission and <br /> signed affidavit statements. <br /> 3. Discussion on Program Partnerships <br /> Shayla Denaway, Parks Planner informed that there have been requests from individuals and businesses to <br /> partner on programs or informative classes. With the newly constructed at the Peder Pederson Pavilion and <br /> Lions Park, staff is anticipating an increase in interest. <br /> Discussion included: Less residential use with rooms being monopolized, if classes offered how could Hugo <br /> residents be offered first, profit business should pay facility fees,City liability if involved on private free use. <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br /> Parks Commission Minutes <br /> January 18,2023 <br />
