To: Chief Compton <br />Subject: Resignation <br /> <br />Chief Compton, I regret to inform you that I write this letter with the intent to resign from the Hugo Fire <br />Department. Effective July 31st, 2023, I will no longer be an active member of the department. This <br />process was a long and emotional process. I truly believe that my heart is in the job and details of this <br />department however my family life and full-time firefighter career just don’t allow me the opportunity <br />to fulfill the obligations that are needed at this time. I appreciate the training and opportunities that you <br />have provided in my time with the agency. I hope that someday, as life changes may happen, I will once <br />again be able to be a part of the organization.
