Page | 6 <br /> <br />tests deemed necessary by the City of Hugo Fire Department or Medical <br />Professionals. <br />• Maintain a valid Minnesota Driver’s license in accordance with the City of Hugo <br />Employee Handbook and Personnel Policy. <br />Working Conditions and Physical Requirements <br />May be involved in physically draining and exhausting activities which may include taking <br />command of a fire scene, participating in emergency response situations and being involved in <br />physically dangerous situations. Frequently talks, listens, sits, stands, crawls, kneels, climbs, <br />balances, reaches, or maneuvers in certain ways. Carries heavy firefighting equipment, <br />frequently lifts objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts objects up to 100 pounds. <br />Regularly works in extreme weather conditions including but not limited to heat, cold, heights, <br />and confined spaces. Is exposed to noxious smoke, fumes and fire that will adversely affect each <br />of the senses including smell, touch, taste, sight, and hearing. Manages multiple people and <br />projects at once with frequent interruptions to meet residents needs. Exposure to dangerous, <br />busy, and noisy environments which require exceptional time and stress management <br />capabilities. May be exposed to high levels of mental and emotional stress during emergency <br />response calls which require the individual to remain in control. <br /> <br />The City of Hugo is an Equal Opportunity Employer in compliance with federal legislation.
