RESOLUTION NO. ______ <br /> <br />CITY OF HUGO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE FEASIBILITY REPORT AND <br />SETTING THE PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE <br />2024 125th STREET AND DELWOOD RIDGE NEIGHBORHOOD STREET IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution of the Council adopted July 10, 2023, a report was prepared by <br />WSB, with reference to the improvement of 125th Street and the Dellwood Ridge neighborhood. The <br />Dellwood Ridge neighborhood includes Upper Heather Avenue North and Heather Avenue North. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following improvements are proposed: <br /> <br /> Complete road reconstruction for Upper Heather Avenue North and Heather Avenue North <br /> Roadway reclamation and overlay on 125th Street North <br /> <br />and to assess benefited properties for all or a portion of the improvement, pursuant to Minnesota <br />Statutes, Chapter 429; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has been advised by the City Engineer that said street improvements <br />are feasible, and should best be made as proposed, and the City Engineer’s report to this effect has <br />heretofore been received by Council, and filed with the City Clerk on October 16, 2023; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council deemed it necessary and expedient that the City of Hugo, Minnesota, <br />construct certain improvements, to-wit: 2024 125th Street and Dellwood Ridge Neighborhood Street <br />Improvement Project, in the City as described in and in accordance with the feasibility report <br />prepared by the City Engineer; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the statute provided that no such improvements shall be made until the Council has <br />held a public hearing on such improvements following mailed notice and publication thereof in the <br />official newspaper stating time and place of the hearing, the general nature of the improvement, the <br />estimated costs thereof, and the area proposed to be assessed, in accordance with the law; and <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Hugo that the public <br />hearing be scheduled to consider : 2024 125th Street and Dellwood Ridge Neighborhood Street <br />Improvement Project, to be held on Friday, November 20, 2023, at 7:00 o’clock p.m. or as soon <br />thereafter as possible, at Hugo City Hall, 14669 Fitzgerald Avenue North. <br /> <br />This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the City of Hugo on the 16th day of October 2023, <br />by a vote of Ayes and Nays. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Tom Weidt, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Michele Lindau, City Clerk <br /> (seal)
