Phase 1 – Repairs to Schoolhouse Roof <br />On September 14, a crew from Precise Exterior LLC, owned by Doug and DJ Amundson of Hugo, <br />began the replacement of the schoolhouse roof, which was mostly complete by the end of the day <br />on September 15. The crew held off on placing the shingles around the chimney until the masonry <br />work was complete to avoid damaging the shingles. The cost of replacing the roof was limited to the <br />purchase of materials and a fraction of labor, because of the generous donations from Doug and DJ <br />Amundson of Precise Exteriors LLC. The warranty for the shingles is enclosed in this report. <br />Of note, the conditions report that the City of Hugo had completed on the building identified some <br />asbestos in the roofing sealant on the roof by the chimney.
