Council Meeting Minutes for September 5, 2023 <br />Page 3 of 5 <br /> <br />Approve Annual Performance Review for City Clerk Michele Lindau <br /> <br />Michele Lindau was hired by the City of Hugo as a part time employee in 1997 and approved as a full- <br />time employee on May 1, 1999. On January 1, 2008, Michele became the new City Clerk. Adoption <br />of the Consent Agenda approved the annual performance review for City Clerk Michele Lindau. <br /> <br />Approve Resignation of Public Works Worker Paul Christianson <br /> <br />Paul Christianson was hired as a Public Works Worker on September 27, 2004. Paul had submitted <br />his letter of resignation. Public Works Director Scott Anderson recommends Council approve the <br />letter of resignation from Public Works Worker Paul Christianson effective September 8, 2023. <br />Approve Authorization to Advertise for Vacant Public Works Worker Position <br /> <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved advertising for the vacant public works worker <br />position and scheduling interviews as appropriate. <br /> <br />Approve Resignation of EDA Member Mike Roberts <br /> <br />At its February 1, 2021, meeting, Council appointed Mike Roberts to the EDA. Mike had <br />submitted his letter of resignation. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the letter of <br />resignation effective immediately. <br /> <br />Approve Resolution Approving Variance for 14320 Grantaire Lane for Side Yard Setback <br />Encroachment for Window Wells <br /> <br />Nick Heinle, Prairie Homes, LLC, had requested a variance to allow window wells to encroach <br />three feet, eight inches into the required side yard setback, where two feet was allowed by <br />ordinance. The two window wells were generally located on the north and south side of the <br />house. At its August 24, 2023, meeting, the Board of Zoning held a public hearing and <br />considered the request. There was only the applicant at the public hearing to speak. Staff outlined <br />the variance approval criteria, and the Board agreed that due to the unusual circumstances that <br />led to the construction of the window wells, there were practical difficulties in meeting the <br />ordinance standard. They unanimously recommended approval of the variance request to the <br />City Council. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved RESOLUTION 2023-26 <br />APPROVING A VARIANCE TO ALLOW WINDOW WELLS TO ENCROACH 3 FEET 8 <br />INCHES INTO THE REQUIRED SIDE YARD SETBACK FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED <br />AT 14320 GRANTAIRE LANE NORTH. <br /> <br />Approve Resolution Approving Final Plat and Development Agreement for The Shores of <br />Oneka Lake 2nd Addition <br /> <br />M/I Homes had requested approval of a final plat for The Shores of Oneka Lake 2nd Addition. <br />The City Council reviewed and approved the preliminary plat and PUD for The Shores of Oneka <br />Lake at its June 6, 2022, meeting. This request would plat 14 lots for the second phase of the <br />development. The lots met the minimum lot standards and requirements outlined in the <br />regulations for The Shores of Oneka Lake PUD. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved <br />RESOLUTION 2023-27 APPROVING A FINAL PLAT AND DEVELOPMENT <br />AGREEMENT FOR M/I HOMES OF MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL, LLC, FOR THE SHORES <br />OF ONEKA LAKE 2nd ADDITION.
