MINUTES <br />City Council Meeting <br />City Hall Council Chambers <br />Monday, February 5, 2024 <br />7:00 p.m. <br />Call to Order <br />Mayor Weidt called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />Roll Call <br />COUNCIL PRESENT: Klein, Miron, Petryk, Strub, Weidt <br />COUNCIL ABSENT: None <br />OTHERS PRESENT: City Administrator Bryan Bear, City Attorney Dave Snyder, Community <br />Development Director Rachel Juba, Parks Planner Shayla Denaway, City Clerk Michele Lindau <br />Approval of Minutes for the January 8, 2024, City Council Meeting <br />Klein made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the minutes for the City Council meeting held <br />on January 8, 2024, as presented. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Approval of Minutes for the January 22, 2024, Council Goal Setting Session <br />Klein made motion, Strub seconded, to approve the minutes for the Goal Setting Session held on <br />January 22, 2024, as presented. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Approval of Agenda <br />Weidt made motion, Klein seconded, to approve the agenda as amended by adding approval of a <br />letter to of support for CDGB funding for Hammer & NER <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Parks Annual Report <br />Parks Planner Shayla Denaway presented the 2023 Parks Commission Annual Report. She talked <br />about the North Star Wetland Bank that was now into year three. The wetlands were being <br />restored on the school and City sites with the goal to construct trails. Monitoring work was <br />continuing and now going into the prospectus phase. In the past year, the City also worked on <br />the 121st Street walk-in access to Bald Eagle Lake. The Watershed District did not want to <br />partner with the City on the project, but the Public Works Department graded the property and <br />put gravel down. The City received positive feedback. There was the kickoff in 2023 for the <br />Glacial Hills Regional Trail project. Community meetings were being held on proposed trail
