<br />Page 1 of 2 <br />Parks Commission Minutes <br />September 21, 2022 <br />Minutes <br />Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Commission <br /> <br />Meeting of September 21, 2022 <br />Hugo City Hall, 7:00 pm <br /> <br />Present: Roger Clarke, Emily McGinnity, Cathy Moore-Arcand, Mat Rauschendorfer, Nicole Schmid, <br />Meredith St. Pierre, Ranell Tennyson. <br /> <br />Staff Present: Scott Anderson, Public Works Director <br /> Shayla Denaway, Parks Planner <br />Debi Close, Parks Secretary <br /> <br />Clarke called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. <br /> <br /> <br />1. Approval of Minutes from the July 20, 2022 and August 17, 2022 Meeting <br /> <br />St Pierre made a motion, McGinnity seconded to approve the minutes of the July 20, 2022 and August <br />17, 2022 Parks Commission meeting. <br /> <br />All aye. <br />Motion approved. <br /> <br /> <br />2. Update Bernin Property <br /> <br />Scott Anderson, Public Works Director updated on the Bernin property at 6540 Green Ave N. The Family <br />has vacated the site and requested a sugar maple tree try to be preserved with future planning. Site <br />debris removal has started and no trespassing signage is posted on all structures. Hugo City Council and <br />City Staff visited the site and noted that the buildings are in disrepair. They are concerned that, with no <br />habitancy, the property could become a nuisance parcel and subject to vandalism. The Hugo City <br />Council authorized evaluation of the structures. <br /> <br />McGinnity made a motion, Moore-Arcand seconded to agree with City Council and City Staff to remove <br />the structures on the property while trying to preserve the maple tree requested to be remembrance <br />from the family. <br /> <br />All Aye. <br />Motion approved. <br />
