3
every day. With our adjacent properties, the many species of wildlife are free to roam,
unencumbered, throughout our neighborhood.

Additionally, even if the power lines for this solar farm proposed project were to be buried, at
least 3 exceptionally large commercial-type power poles would be placed on the Everton Ave N
boulevard of the project site. These exceptionally large poles would be much larger than the
existing power line poles on Everton Ave N now, creating another significant aesthetic
detraction from the neighborhood.

Not only do we call our neighborhood home, but many residents of the Waters Edge
Community do as well. The Waters Edge development is adjacent on the North, East, and
South sides of the properties of the Peltiers, the current proposed project solar project site, Ms.
Syring’s property, and the Holman’s property. Many of the Waters Edge residents have
stopped to visit with the Peltiers and Ms. Syring over the years, while walking with and without
their dogs down on our dead-end street. They regularly tell us how much they appreciate
watching our horses (and the deer) grazing quietly in our pastures, and for some, the view of
our hobby farms was the reason they purchased their homes here.

Our Everton Ave N neighborhood has evolved over the past 60+ years. We look out for one
another and do our best to be good neighbors and community members. Every person who
lives here is grateful for this very special rural, yet city space.

We aren’t making a complaint against solar farms in general. We are, however, asking for your
agreement and support in determining this solar project, is absolutely “Not compatible with
the present character of the surrounding area.”

Please consider visiting us for a tour of our neighborhood and the adjacent properties nearest
the proposed building site. We would love to share our perspective with you from our homes
and land. We would be happy to accompany you on a tour individually, or as a group, to
provide you with the opportunity to visualize, from our perspective, the harm this project
would cause to our neighborhood.

To set up an appointment for a tour at any time of your convenience before the upcoming May
6th City Council Meeting, please contact: Laura Syring, 651-247-2976, or
John Udstuen, 651-653-2006.

Thank you for your time. We look forward to hearing from you.
