Included in the 2024 City of Hugo CIP is a kitchen remodel project at the <br />fire station. We have decided to do the general contracting, demolition work, painting, and other miscellaneous <br />work ourselves to save money on the project. We have solicited several quotes for different trades to do work <br />on the cabinetry, finish carpentry work, flooring, and ventilation. We have reviewed all quotes and would like to <br />move forward in approving companies that provided us with the lowest quote to start our project. <br /> <br /> Ventilation of microwave: Kramer Mechanical Plumbing and Heating, $2,770.00. <br /> Cabinets, countertops, and finished carpentry: Preferred Kitchens, $18,266.00 with plumbing <br />removed from bid. <br /> Flooring: Albertson Construction, INC.: $2,500.00 <br /> Items bought and provided by the City of Hugo: Miscellaneous materials, paint, appliances, etc. <br />$7,000.00‐$10,000.00 <br />o CIP expected expense: $30,536.00‐33,536.00 <br /> Fire Department Budget for Firefighters labor: $2,000.00‐$3,000 .00 <br /> <br />o Total expected project price: $32,536.00‐36,536.00 <br /> <br />I have discussed these results with the Finance Director, who has indicated that sufficient funding has been <br />budgeted in the building maintenance fund for the contracted work.
