Hugo has approved their phase 1 for the smaller expansion to the exsiting school, with that approval the 3 houses off of 122nd St will have 2 and even 3 sides of their yard be asphalt. Those 3 homes are related to the Zahlers and have been there forever Mary Ecker her whole life she is 84, and her 2 daughters. Now they will have a 202 spot parking lot 10 feet from their back property line with parking lot lights shining in their yards and traffic in the front and back of their homes. Coincidence that Melanie Zahler is on the Liberty Classical school board who pretty much forced her mother to sell. Rebekka proceeded to say that the over head lights need to be on at night for vandalism purposes, she said that the Washington County sheriff's office recommended that. I called the sheriffs department and there was no such matter talked of. Their parking lot is 10 feet from the 3 exsiting homes that is ridiculous. They could move that parking lot to the other side, and have them enter trough the back doors, she also said at that meeting that Washington County is making them have their main entrance off of Keller ave. Which was also false, at the time of that meeting Washington County had not been contacted. We asked her after the meeting a couple questions when she wasn't in front of the panel and she point blank said to 2 seperate people that they want the enterance off of Keller not 122nd st. because of cost to the school. She was all about loving their country setting. They will be bringing so much traffic to our rural area if they are approved for the septic. We are asking for them to move their septic onto the Hugo property and keep their school Pre K - 5. It is currently Pre K thru 2nd grade. If they get approved for phase 2 (which they will if May Township approves their septic which is commercial size not rural.) They will generate 860 vehicles in the am and not including what the pm traffic will bring and all the extra sports traffic. Our roads are not made for that much traffic, we asked who pays for the road when repairs come up they pushed it over to Washington County because it being a County road. So that is US the Withrow and Washington County tax payers. When the Withrow Ballroom wanted to sell Christmas Trees for 30 days in Nov/Dec. and Flowers for 30 days in the Spring May Township board shut them down because they wanted to keep our community rural and the traffic down. They shut them down AGAIN when they wanted to do a little coffee shop and a farmers market. Liberty Classical brings NOTHING to this community, they come from White Bear Lake area. We want our RURAL Withrow community to stay Rural, the 10 acre minimum rule. Please, listen to the community who will be at the May 30th meeting when they are speaking.
