RESOLUTION NO. 2024 – A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR THE 2024 125th STREET AND DELLWOOD RIDGE STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT CITY OF HUGO, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MN WHEREAS estimated costs have been calculated for 2024 125th Street and Dellwood Ridge Street Improvement Project consisting of the following roadway improvements:  Road reconstruction for the Dellwood Ridge neighborhood  Full depth reclamation on 125th Street The estimated cost for such improvements is $2,877,000. That portion of the project that is assessable is the roadway improvements with estimated costs is $258,500; and NOW, THEREFORE, IT BE RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Hugo, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The portion of the cost of the roadway improvement is hereby declared to be $2,877,000; and the portion of the cost to be assessed against benefited property owners is declared to be $258,500. 2. Assessments shall be payable in annual installments extending over a period of 10 years, the first of the installments to be payable on or before the first Monday in January 2025 and shall bear interest at the rate of x percent per annum from the date of the adoption of the assessment resolution. 3. The city clerk, with the assistance of the city engineer, shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the district affected, without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and he shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in his office for public inspection. 4. The clerk shall upon the completion of such proposed assessment, notify the council thereof.
