Council Meeting Minutes for November 4, 2024 <br />Page 5 of 7 <br /> <br />Payment to Grant Utilities for Sanitary Sewer Repair on 147th Street <br /> <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear added this to the Consent Agenda to request approval of payment <br />to Grant Utilities for repairs to the sanitary sewer on 147th Street that sustained damage during <br />the 2021 downtown streets reconstruction project. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved <br />payment to Grant Utilities in the amount of $12,000. <br /> <br />2025 Beaver Ponds Area Street Improvement Project - Receive Feasibility Study and Set <br />Public Hearing. <br /> <br />City Engineer Mark Erichson showed the location of the proposed Beaver Ponds Area Street <br />Improvement Project which would consist of roadway milling and paving, spot curb <br />replacement, and trail replacement improvements. The total project cost would be approximately <br />$1,543,300, which incorporated 2024 construction costs and included a 10% construction <br />contingency and indirect costs in the amount of 20% of the estimated construction <br />costs. According to the City’s Assessment Policy, benefiting properties would be assessed <br />$2,100 per unit. This would pay for $337,810 of the project cost. The remaining $1,205,490 <br />would be paid for by the City. He provided a proposed project schedule that showed a public <br />hearing to be held on December 2, construction taking place June-September 2025, and an <br />assessment hearing to be held in October 2025. <br /> <br />Miron made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve RESOLUTION 2024-52 RECEIVING THE <br />FEASIBILITY REPORT AND SETTING THE PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE 2025 BEAVER <br />PONDS AREA STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT. <br /> <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />2025 Street Improvement Project - Receive Feasibility Study and Set Public Hearing <br /> <br />City Engineer Mark Erichson showed the location of the proposed 2025 Street Improvement <br />Project which would include roads in Duck Pass, Palmes Long Lake Estates, and Ingersoll <br />Avenue. The project would consist of a full depth roadway reclamation, paving and minor storm <br />improvements. The total estimated project cost was approximately $1,820,900 which <br />incorporated 2024 construction costs and included a 10% construction contingency and indirect <br />costs in the amount of 20% of the estimated construction costs. According to the City’s <br />Assessment Policy, benefiting properties would be assessed $3,400 per unit. This would pay for <br />$180,788 of the project cost. The remaining $1,640,122 would be paid for by the City. He <br />provided the proposed project schedule that showed a public hearing to be held on December 2, <br />construction taking place June-September 2025, and an assessment hearing to be held in October <br />2025. <br /> <br />Klein made motion, Miron seconded, RESOLUTION 2024-53 RECEIVING THE <br />FEASIBILITY REPORT AND SETTING THE PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE 2025 DUCK <br />PASS, PALMES LONG LAKE ESTATES, AND INGERSOLL AVENUE N STREET <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT. <br /> <br />All Ayes.
