Council Meeting Minutes for December 16, 2024 <br />Page 5 of 6 <br /> <br />Approve Resolution Approving Liquor and Tobacco Licenses for 2025 <br /> <br />Staff had received the appropriate applications for renewals of liquor and tobacco licenses for <br />2025. Staff recommended approval of the license renewals subject to payment of all fees, taxes <br />and utilities, and receipt of certificates of Liquor Liability Insurance. Adoption of the Consent <br />Agenda approved RESOLUTION 2024-66 APPROVING THE 2025 LIQUOR AND <br />TOBACCO LICENSES. <br /> <br />Approve Fire Station Office Remodel Project <br /> <br />Under Council direction, the fire department leadership had been looking to fill daytime response <br />needs by allowing firefighters who typically work from home to have office space at the fire <br />station. Necessary updates to the office include office furniture, plumbing, painting, carpet <br />cleaning, and office/computer supplies. To keep costs down, much of labor will be done by fire <br />department members. There is sufficient funding in the budget to cover these improvements. <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved fire station remodel project in the amount of <br />$25,661.25. <br /> <br />Approve Pay Request No. 5 for the Lift Station No. 12 Project <br /> <br />C.W. Houle, Inc. had submitted Pay Request No. 5 in the amount of $70,346.45 for work <br />certified through November 30, 2024, on the Lift Station No. 12 Project. The lift station was <br />fully operational, and the Contractor was working on final punch-list items. Adoption of the <br />Consent Agenda approved payment to C.W. Houle, Inc. in the amount of $70,346.45 <br /> <br />Approve Resolution Approving Encroachment Agreement for 5351 129th Street North – <br />Richard and Marilyn Sinclair <br /> <br />Richard and Marilyn Sinclair had requested an encroachment agreement to allow construction of <br />a fence within a drainage and utility easement on property located at 5351 129th Street North. <br />The Senior Engineering Technician had reviewed the location of the fence and was comfortable <br />with the request. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved RESOLUTION 2024-67 <br />APPROVING AN ENCROACHMENT AGREEMENT TO ALLOW CONSTRUCTION OF A <br />FENCE WITHIN A DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT ON THE PROPERTY <br />LOCATED AT 5351 129TH STREET NORTH <br /> <br />Reminder-Emergency & Disaster Training on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 <br /> <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear reminded Council they had scheduled a meeting to attend <br />Emergency and Disaster Training at the Washington County Government Center on Wednesday, <br />December 18, 2024, from 6-8:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Schedule Hugo Fire Department Annual Banquet on Saturday, January 18, 2025 <br /> <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear informed Council they had been invited to attend the Hugo Fire <br />Department Annual Banquet on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Hugo American Legion <br />beginning at 5 p.m. <br />
