Minutes for the Planning Commission Meeting of Thursday, December 14, 2023 <br /> Acting Chair Arcand called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. <br /> PRESENT: Andress, Arcand, Granger, Petty <br /> ABSENT: Derr, Kelly, Kleissler, Lessard <br /> STAFF: Rachel Juba, Community Development Director <br /> Max Gort, Associate Planner <br /> Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> Approval of Minutes for the Planning Commission Meeting of August 24, 2023 <br /> Commissioner Granger made a motion, seconded by Acting Chair Arcand, to approve the minutes for <br /> the Planning Commission meeting of August 24, 2023. <br /> All ayes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Public Hearing: Minor Subdivision and Variance— Larry and Louann Hanson, 14565 Irish Avenue <br /> North <br /> Staff gave background on the proposed Minor Subdivision for property at 14565 Irish Avenue North. <br /> The property owners, Larry and Louann Hanson, requested to split the 20 acre parcel into two 10-acre <br /> parcels. The property is zoned and guided in the Comprehensive Plan as Agricultural (AG). Properties in <br /> the AG zoning district have a minimum lot size of 10 acres, and a minimum lot width of 300 feet. The <br /> parcel is 553.5 feet wide, meaning that the parcel cannot be split into two parcels that meet both the <br /> minimum lot size and minimum lot width requirements. The applicants are requesting a variance to <br /> allow for the created parcel to the south to have a minimum width of 226 feet, where 300 feet is <br /> required by ordina <br /> Chair Kleissler opened the Public Hearing at 7:04 PM <br /> No one spoke. <br /> Chair Kleissler closed the Public Hearing at 7:04 PM. <br /> Commissioner Arcand stated that the proposed minor subdivision looked good. <br /> Commissioner Arcand made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Granger, to recommend approval of <br /> the Minor Subdivision request for the property located on Jody Avenue North <br />
