Sec. 90-47. Exceptions to yard regulations. <br /> Measurements for yard regulations shall be taken from the nearest point of the wall of a building to a lot line <br /> in question,subject to the following qualifications: <br /> (1) Canopies,air conditioners,cantilevers,chimneys,cornices, eaves,flues,window wells, and bay <br /> windows may extend into: <br /> a. The required minimum front yard a distance not to exceed four feet, six inches; <br /> b. The required minimum side yard a distance not exceeding three feet, inclusive of rain gutters and <br /> other such appurtenances; <br /> (2) Fire escapes may extend into the required front yard a distance not exceeding four feet, six inches; <br /> (3) A landing place,deck,or porch may extend into the required front yard a distance not exceeding six <br /> feet, if the landing place or porch has its floor no higher than the entrance floor of the building.An <br /> open railing may be placed around such place; <br /> (4) The architectural features enumerated in subsection (3)of this section may also extend into any side or <br /> rear yard to the same extent,except that no porch,deck,terrace, or outside stairway shall project into <br /> the required side yard; <br /> (5) On double frontage lots,the required front yard shall be provided on both streets; <br /> (6) The required front yard of a corner lot shall not contain any wall,fence, or other structure,tree,shrub, <br /> or other growth,which may cause danger to traffic on a sidewalk,street, or public road by obscuring <br /> the view; <br /> (7) The required front yard of a corner lot shall be unobstructed above a height of three feet in a triangular <br /> area,two sides of which are the lines running along the side street lines between the street <br /> intersection, at the curb,and a point 30 feet from the intersection and the third side of which is the <br /> line between the latter two points. <br /> (Prior Code, § 1010-110.1) <br /> Created: 2024-04-11 13:47:58 [EST] <br /> (Supp. No.34) <br /> Page 1 of 1 <br />
