Page 23 <br /> <br />Inspections & Compliance Checks <br />Local governments are permitted specific business inspection and compliance check <br />authorities, in addition to—and not in conflict with—OCM authorities. <br />Inspections and Compliance Checks (342.22) <br />Local governments must conduct compliance <br />checks for cannabis and hemp businesses holding <br />retail registration at least once per calendar year. <br />These compliance checks must verify compliance <br />with age verification procedures and compliance <br />with any applicable local ordinance established <br />pursuant to section 342.13. OCM maintains <br />inspection authorities for all cannabis licenses to <br />verify compliance with operation requirements, <br />product limits, and other applicable requirements <br />of Chapter 342.
