A copy of this petition is attached for your reference. The petition references increased <br />traffic on the roadway, lack of a shoulder for pedestrians to walk on, and vehicles travelling at <br />speeds that put pedestrians at risk. The stop sign is requested to slow traffic down and create a <br />safer street for the neighborhood. <br /> <br />Additional Background <br /> 125th Street is a rural-section roadway that is 24 feet in width <br /> Posted speed limit is 35 miles per hour <br /> Fenway Avenue is approximately 360-ft east of Highway 61 <br /> 125th Street connects to Fondant Trail ¼ of a mile to the east of Fenway Avenue where <br />trail facilities exist. <br /> The City’s comprehensive plan identifies a future trail along the north side of 125th Street <br />that would connect to the existing trail along Fondant Avenue. <br /> <br />
