4 <br /> <br />within the Hugo Fire Department. Service pensions will be prorated for fractional years <br />of service pursuant to Minn. Statue 424A.02, Subdivision 2, and these bylaws. <br /> <br />Section 4.9 Membership Requirements: For the purpose of receiving benefits from this <br />Association, each member must be in good standing with the fire department as defined <br />by the City of Hugo Personnel Policy. <br /> <br />Section 4.1110 Failure to meet the requirements: In the event a member does not meet <br />the minimum requirements as listed in section 4.8 and section 4.9, a member will be <br />notified of their delinquency and will have an opportunity to present their case to the <br />Board of Trustees or general membershipFire Chief, as to why he/she should receive <br />service credit for that calendar year. Board dDecisions of the Fire Chief will only apply to <br />the member in dispute and does not set any precedence for any other members to fall <br />back upon. Each case will be considered separate based on the merits provided. A <br />member shall have the rights to appeal the decision of the Board to the membership final <br />disposition.The Fire Chief will make the final determination on the disputed amount of <br />active service credit to be awarded per Minnesota Statute 424A.003 (c) <br /> <br />Section 4.1112. Reports of Active Service. On or before March 31 of each calendar year <br />the Fire Chief shall certify to the Board of Trustees the amount of active service credit <br />earned by each Member of the Association at the close of the previous calendar year. <br />Every January, the Board of Trustees shall request a report from the Chief of the Fire <br />Department, showing the total percentages for calls and drills from the previous calendar <br />year for each member of the fire department. All reports given to the Board of Trustees <br />are confidential, and any Board member divulging said information, shall be immediately <br />terminated from their elected position. <br /> <br />Section 4.1210. Reports of service credit: On February 1st of each year, Tthe Secretary <br />of the AssociationFire Chief shall provide each member with an Annual Service Credit <br />Certification report showing the total service credit earned from his\her inception into the <br />Association to the close of theduring the previous calendar year. Members of the <br />Association will have thirty (30) fourteen (14) days to file a dispute in writing of any <br />inaccuracies to the Board of TrusteesFire Chief. After thirty (30) days following the <br />distribution of service credit reports to each individual member, unless in dispute, the <br />service credit report for each member shall stand as official record, for the purpose of <br />pension credit. <br /> <br />Section 4.13. Quarters: For the purpose of this document, a quarter shall be defined as <br />three months. There shall be four quarters per calendar year. The first (1st) quarter shall <br />begin on January 1st and conclude on March 31st. The second (2nd) quarter shall begin on <br />April 1st and conclude on June 30th. The third (3rd) quarter shall begin on July 1st and <br />conclude on September 30th and the fourth (4th) quarter shall begin on October 1st and <br />conclude on December 31st. <br /> <br />Section 4.13.1 Months: for the purpose of this document a month shall be considered as
