Special Meetings of the Association: Special meetings of the association <br />shall be called by the President and three (3) members of the Association, and can also be <br />called upon written request of six or more members of the Association. Members shall <br />be notified by the Secretary of such special meetings, and the subject of the meeting shall <br />be contained in such notice. Quorum: For the transaction of business at any annual, regular, and special <br />meetings of the Association, a quorum shall be defined as, fifty-one percent (51%) of the <br />Associations members. For the transaction of business at all Board of Trustees meeting, a <br />quorum shall be defined as fifty-one percent (51%) of the trustees. A quorum must be <br />present the entire meeting. Any time during any meeting a quorum is not present; the <br />meeting shall recess and only reconvene upon a quorum being present. <br /> <br />Section 8.7. Meeting notices and conduct: the annual, regular and special meetings of <br />the Association shall confirm with applicable provisions of Minnesota’s Open Meeting <br />Law and Minnesota’s Nonprofit Corporations Act. Subject to a waiver, notice shall be <br />sent to every member at least five (5) days before the meeting. Such notice shall set forth <br />the date, time, place, and in case of a special meeting, the purpose. The Secretary shall <br />also post the time, date, location and purpose of the meeting on the bulletin board at the <br />Fire Station or on the Association’s website at least five (5) days in advance of the <br />meeting. Subject to waiver. <br /> <br />Section 8.8. Reports: All reports and resolutions shall be submitted in writing, and no <br />report shall be accepted unless it is the report of the majority of a committee, provided, <br />however, that a minority shall be permitted to present its views in writing. <br /> <br />Section 8.9. Parliamentary Procedure: All meetings shall be conducted in accordance <br />with Robert's Rules of Order, as revised. <br /> <br />Section 8.10.
