<br />: <br /> Page 9 <br /> <br />• Perform assigned duties to the best of their ability at all times. <br />• Render prompt and courteous service to the public at all times. <br />• Read, understand, and comply with the rules and regulations as set forth in these <br />personnel policies as well as those of their departments. <br />• Conduct themselves professionally toward both residents and staff and respond <br />to inquiries and information requests with patience and every possible courtesy. <br />• Report any and all unsafe conditions to the immediate supervisor. <br />• Maintain good attendance while meeting the goals set by an employee’s <br />supervisor. <br />• Approach our organization and operational duties with a positive attitude and <br />constructively support open communication, creativity, dedication and <br />compassion. <br /> <br />b. Conduct Subject to Disciplinary Actions <br />It shall be the duty of employees to maintain high standards of cooperation, efficiency <br />and integrity in their work with the City. If an employee's conduct falls below standard, <br />he/she may be subject to disciplinary action. Some general things for which an employee <br />may be disciplined include, but are not limited to <br /> <br />• Reporting to work under the influence of intoxicants or nonprescription/illegal <br />drugs or using such substances while on City property. <br />• Failure to follow the orders of one's Department Head(s). <br />• Being absent from work without permission or failure to report to the Department <br />Head when one is absent. <br />• Being habitually absent or tardy for any reason. <br />• Failure to perform assigned work in an efficient or effective manner. <br />• Being wasteful of material, property or working time. <br />• Inability to get along with fellow employees so that the work being done is <br />hindered and not up to required levels. <br />• Failure to observe proper security procedures. <br />• Conduct on the job which violates the common decency or morality of the <br />community. <br />• Conviction of a felony or gross misdemeanor. <br />• Violating safety rules and regulations.
