6 <br />PARKS & RECREATION <br />Oneka Lake Park Improvements <br />The Parks Commission has been proposing improvements <br />to Oneka Lake Park as the neighborhood park project for <br />2025, including removing and replacing old playground <br />equipment and repainting the picnic shelter. The Parks <br />Commission will hold a neighborhood meeting on April 16 <br />at 7:00 PM at the Peder Pedersen Pavilion. Residents are <br />invited to help select the new playground and share their <br />feedback on the park improvements. <br />Family ROCK! Concert <br />Friday, July 11 | 6:00 pm <br />Peder Pedersen Pavilion <br />Lions Volunteer Park <br />A festive, high-energy way to spend time with <br />each other and with music. Local kindierocker <br />Aric Bieganek of the Royal Order of Chords <br />and Keys (R.O.C.K.) will lead you through a fun <br />program of song and dance featuring original <br />songs and rock and roll takes on classic <br />children’s music. Geared toward families <br />with 0–5-year-old kids, this experience is <br />fun for the whole family. Epic dance parties <br />and sing-a-longs are guaranteed, complete <br />with egg shakers, scarves, parachutes, and <br />bubble time to tunes that even the grown-ups <br />will enjoy! Let’s ROCK! <br />Sponsored by Washington County Library <br />and funded with money from Minnesota’s <br />Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. <br />A free family-friendly event hosted by <br />the Hugo Business Association. Local <br />businesses are coming together to <br />provide activities and prizes for kids of <br />all ages!
