• <br /> t <br /> MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS OF THE HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> JULY 9, 1974 <br /> The meeting was called to order at 8:08 P.M. by Chairman Larry Ehret. <br /> Members present were Spitzer, Ehret, Peloquix, Leroux (9:12) , Schletty, <br /> Rosenquist and Johnson (9:00) . Also present was Dennis Welch from the <br /> Washington County Planning Department. <br /> Motion made by Spitzer, and seconded to dispense with the reading <br /> of the minutes of the June 26, 1974 meaning. Motion carried. <br /> Motion made by Spitzer, seconded by Peloquix, to approve the minutes <br /> of the June 26, 1974 meeting. Motion carried. <br /> TAUER SPECIAL USE PERMIT <br /> Mr. Ehret read letter subj*itted from the Sanitary Engineering <br /> Laboratories, Inc. who conducted anCanalysis of the existing Tauer <br /> sewer disposal system. Mir. Ehret also read report submitted from <br /> the Planning Department. <br /> An attorney representing Mr. Tauer said he takes acception to many <br /> of the things ix Schwab' s report: Mr. Tauer was not asked to furnish <br /> any specific plans and he did furnish everything he was asked. <br /> Original plans included the apartment. The comprehensive land use <br /> Plan is not in effect yet. He felt Schwab' s report was totally <br /> inadequate and unfair and it should be disregarded. <br /> Mr. Welch discussed the reasonings of Mr. Schwab' s report. <br /> Spitzer explained the Comprehensive Plan and the background of the <br /> Tauer's request for a Special Use Permit. <br /> The real problem is do they want a multiple family dwelling ix a <br /> rural area. <br /> Tauer's Attorney - The basic purpose of the Comprehensive Plan is <br /> for future uses, and this is something that is in existanee. He <br /> feels they haven't destroyed anything in this area and doesn' t think <br /> its going to destroy the Comprehensive Land Use Plan. <br /> Motion made by Spitzer, seconded by Rosenquist, that the Tauer <br /> Special Use Permit be recommended for denial as it does not conform <br /> to the Comprehensive Plan and none of the purposes contemplated by <br /> the Comprehensive Plan would be served by this request. <br /> Members for: Peloquix, Ehret, Schletty, Rosexquist and Spitzer. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> MINIATURE GOLF COURSE SPECIAL USE PERMIT <br /> Ehret read letter from the Rice Creek Watershed approving their <br /> permit to pond the water in the picnic area. He also read letter <br /> from the Planning Department. <br /> David Kirscht from the David A. Kirscht Assoc. , Inc. Landscape <br /> Architects represented the owners of the A&W. <br />
