He also stated that the nursery
would transplant the trees they planted wrong.
The operator on the south side represented Mr. Horton and stated that
the trees had been transplanted. He stated that the fire land around
the perimeter were clear and were 12 to 15 feet wide. The interior
lands are 20 feet wide and there are more lanes now than ever. They
have made a parking area for approximately 12 cars with 24 yards of
fill consisting of gravel, clay and rock. The operator would like to
see No Parking signs put up along the highway. They have signs saying
to park inside but people still park along thehighway and they get
very indignant when asked to park inside. During the normal working
hours they have 3 to 4 customers but on Saturday they have more traffic.
The south operator stated that the north operator had a crane in to
more some of the cars, and that he does most of his retail business
out of Willernee. He also stated that the trees grow one foot a year
and are approximately two feet tall now.
Schwab was called by Mr. Horton and Mr. Hort on stated that he had re-
placed some of the galvanized fence and thought that this was just as
good as basketweave. Schwab thought as long as the neighbors didn't
complain, they shouldn't insist on basketweave. The operator said they
had never had any complaints. Johnson said that he would retract his
motion for basketweave.
The operator has an updated fire lane map that they will give to the
fire chief.
Motion made by Johnson, seconded by Schletty, to table the matter of the
Special Use Permit and Junk Yard License Renewal until the next meeting.
The motion to table the recommendation on the Special Use Permit and
Junk Yard License renewal is for the purpose of the Planning Commission
to make an onsite inspection of the Horton Property as it has not been
done to date.
