MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS OF THE HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION NOVEMBER 12, 1974 The meeting was called to order at 8:08 P.M. by Chairman Larry Ehret. Members present were Spitzer, Ehret, Peloquin, Rosenquist and Schletty. Also present was Bill Schwab, Washington County Coordinator. Motion made by Spitzer, seconded by Peloquin, to approve the minutes of the October 8, 1974 meeting after the following correction has been made: . . . . . .want to be zoned. . .last sentence in the first paragraph under Kaphingst item. Motion carried. R OBER T REYNOLDS - MINOR SUBDIVISION Mr. Ehret read letter from Mr. Kuusisto. Mr. Schwab stated that he did not bring his file on the Reynolds Minor Subdivision but recalled talking to Mr. Ken Oslund, who did the drawings for Mr. Reynolds, and he was going to contact Mr. Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds stated that he did not hear from anyone. Mr. Ehret read all the correspondence in the file. A discussion was held on the road. Peloquin felt that the road should only have to be 60 feet wide. Schwab suggested that they stay with the same width all along. Rosenquist felt that someone should go out and look at the property to see if there was room for a 66 foot road. The plan calls for four lots approximately one acre in size. Spit zer stated that this would have to be a subdivision as there are four lots and a road involved. He also stated that it was outside the compre- hensive plan and subdivision ordinance. This land has already been platted. Mr. Reynolds stated that he would not agree to building the road and he felt the City should build it. Schwab suggested that Mr. Kuusisto look at the road and see what kind of curve could be used and how much it would cost. Spitzer told Mr. Reynolds that he should give power of attorney to Mr. Don Carley and explain his minimum requirements to him so that we could have a representative at our meetings. Schwab felt that lot 17 should be discussed so we would have a public access to the lake. Peloquin felt the Council might be willing to pay part of the road cost because this is really a major problem for the city and it might be cheaper maintenancewize Mr. Reynolds stated that he would contact Mr. Carley to have the drawings redone --lots recalculated and road redesigned. He was told the road could be 60 feet wide but no less.
