23 <br />Overview of Timeline for Restoration <br />The following is a high-level overview of the proposed schedule for restoration and creation of the Hopkins Schoolhouse <br />and Heritage Center. If the project is approved to move forward, development of a detailed project plan for all years of <br />the project will be developed in 2023. <br />2023 Project Milestones <br />The following is a summary of major project activities/milestones identified for 2023. <br />Governance/Finance Restoration Programs <br />2023 <br />Contract(s) with City of Hugo <br />Form new nonprofit <br />Transition from fiscal host <br />Board member recruitment <br />Set up business operations <br />Make determination regarding <br />pursuit of national register status <br />Complete grants assessment <br />Complete long-range business <br />plan for HSHC <br />Begin implementation of the <br />business plan – engage with <br />community leaders to explore <br />strategic partnerships. <br />Prepare and submit grant <br />applications to identified <br />funders <br />Round 2 Capital Campaign <br />Focus: Phase 0,2 <br />2023 <br />Cleanup interior of building <br />Cleanup grounds on site <br />Develop site and volunteer <br />engagement plan for grounds <br />Confirm scopes of work for <br />interior restoration phases; <br />secure estimates <br />Complete comprehensive project <br />plan across all project years. <br />Complete mothball stage <br />Begin work on Phase 2 within <br />available funds; <br />2023 <br />Introduce restoration project as <br />first community engagement <br />program offered by HSHC <br />Define scope of near term and <br />long-term services as part of the <br />business planning process <br />Engage Washington County <br />Community Gardeners on <br />planning for program/display <br />Engage local schools to gather <br />input on opportunities to engage <br />youth in the restoration project, <br />and gather insights to inform <br />program planning for the <br />heritage center.
