We deepened our program development in our Youth Pathways Program to further align with restorative practices. We began offering Community Connections groups at Roseville Schools Fairview Alternative High School. In partnership with the White Bear Area Food Shelf and the Northeast Metro Golden K Kiwanis Club we created a Food and Resource Pantry to help our clients with basic needs to bridge until they can access a food shelf. We are refreshing our shared spaces at our Shoreview headquarters, and have designed the spaces aligned with Trauma Informed Design principles, including renovation of our waiting area. We will have a big open house in February to do tours and invite folks to see it! We developed the NYFS Transforming Lives Model of Care that helps to define how NYFS works to achieve our mission by sharing how we conceptualize and execute our work. We re-established community research through a partnership on parenting interventions with the University of Minnesota. We have expanded our Group Therapy Services, especially with art therapy, groups offered in our school-based programs, domestic and sexual violence groups, and groups focused on parenting support. We are consolidating our services to operate out of our Shoreview headquarters until this summer when we will re-establish a new White Bear Lake location. We are developing a new vision for how NYFS is located in the communities that we serve with the plan to establish multiple satellite locations distributed across our service area and embedded in community, with Shoreview continuing as our headquarters.
