A mission statement,a vision and values have been developed. <br /> They are provided below. Facts and Assumptions and Objectives will be developed in <br /> the month of March. <br /> Mission <br /> A mission statement is a simple statement that embodies the meaning of the work <br /> undertaken by the Hugo Parks Commission. <br /> To provide facilities to accommodate recreational and social activities for the entire <br /> community. <br /> Vision <br /> A vision embodies the dream and the image that is hoped for in the future for the Hugo <br /> parks system and the community. <br /> A system of natural areas and neighborhood and community parks linked by a <br /> network of local and regional multi-use trails. <br /> A conveniently located complex of multi-purpose facilities that provides community <br /> focus and accommodates major community events. <br /> Values <br /> The values that the residents of the City of Hugo and the Parks Commission believe to <br /> be important are supported by the mission and the vision. The values must also be <br /> compatible with the mission and vision; they will guide the Parks Commission in the <br /> future. <br /> Parks Commission, Please note suggestions for language in bold italics. This is just my <br /> attempt to make them read better. We will approve this or other changes at the next <br /> meeting. <br /> 1. Community input to park plan implementation <br /> Community Input to the park plan implementation process is <br /> important. <br /> 2. Preserve open space and natural areas. <br /> Preserve the region's open space and natural areas. <br /> 3. No use of eminent domain. <br /> Eminent domain will not be used to develop the Hugo parks <br /> system. <br />
