CITY OF HUGO ORDINANCE NO. 2003 - 377 AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE ERECTION, CONSTRUCTION, ENLARGEMENT, ALTERATION, REPAIR, MOVING, REMOVAL, CONVERSION, DEMOLITION, OCCUPANCY, EQUIPMENT USE, HEIGHTS, AREA, AND MAINTENANCE OF BUILDINGS OR STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF HUGO: PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS AND COLLECTION OF FEES THEREFORE; DECLARING AND ESTABLISHING FIRE DISTRICT AND REQUIRING SUMP PUMPS IN RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS: PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGO, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA, DOES ORDAIN: 301.01 State Buildine- Code Adopted. The 2003 Minnesota State Building Code, established pursuant to Minnesota Statute 1613.59 through 1613.75 and published in Minnesota Rules Chapters 1300 through 1370 and incorporating the Minnesota Plumbing Code and the Minnesota Energy Code, Chapters 4715 and 7670, respectively, of Minnesota Rules, is hereby adopted as the building code for the City of Hugo and is incorporated into this Ordinance as if set out in full, subject to the following specifications: A. Mandatory Enforcement Provisions. The following chapters of Minnesota Rules shall be enforced and administered without change by the City as mandatory provisions of the Minnesota State Building Code: 1. Chapter 1300 Minnesota State Building Code Administration 2. Chapter 1301 Building Official Certification 3. Chapter 1302 State Building Construction Approvals 4. Chapter 1303 Special Provisions 5. Chapter 1307 Elevators, and Related Devices 6. Chapter 1309 Adoption of the International Residential Building Code 7. Chapter 1311 Minnesota Conservation Code for Existing Buildings
