ORDINANCE NO. 2000-336 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING HUGO CITY CODE CHAPTER 320 BY INCREASING THE SIZE <br />OF ACCESSORY BUILDINGS PERMITTED ON LOTS OF TEN ACRES OR MORE IN SIZE <br />LOCATED IN THE URBAN RESIDENTIAL ZONING DISTRICT. <br />(First Amendment to HSC Chapter 320) <br />The City Council of the City of Hugo does hereby ordain as follows: <br />Section 1. Hugo City Code, Chapter 320, Section 6.3, Figure 6-1, as it relates to the permitted <br />size of accessory buildings in the Urban Residential Zoning District shall be amended to read as <br />follows: <br />Maximum Number of Maximum Combined <br />Accessory Buildings Size of Accessory <br />Zoning District Allowed Buildings <br />Urban Residential, based on lot size <br />Lots under one acre 1 260 Square Feet <br />One acre, but less than ten acres 1 870 Square Feet <br />Ten acres or more 3 3,600 Square Feet <br />Section 2. Hugo City Code, Chapter 320, Section 6.3, shall be amended to add a paragraph "F" <br />to read as follows: <br />F. Accessory buildings situated in the Urban Residential Zoning District, which exceed <br />1,088 square feet in size, shall be located to meet the setback and other dimensional <br />requirements for the Agricultural Zoning District found in Section 3 of this ordinance, as well as <br />the vegetative buffering requirements found in Section 5.18 V. <br />Section 3. Hugo City Code, Chapter 320, Section 5.18, shall be amended to add a paragraph "V" <br />to read as follows: <br />V. Vegetative Buffering. Where required, vegetative buffering shall interrupt the view of the <br />objects being buffered from public road right-of-way and adjacent property. No more than fifteen <br />lineal feet of the object being buffered shall be visible from public -road right-of-way and adjacent <br />properties without a vegetative interruption extending from the base of the object to a minimum <br />height of six feet. Coniferous and deciduous trees and shrubs may be used to fulfill this <br />requirement. <br />Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its passage and publication <br />according to law. <br />Upon roll, Council members voting AYE: Barnes, Haas, Leroux, Petryk, Stoltzman <br />Voting NAY: None <br />Whereupon said ordinance was declared passed and adopted on this 6th day of March 2000. <br />Walter L.
