Motion Carried. <br />SPECIAL USE PERMIT (BIGHLEY) <br />William and Karen Bighley of 5764 150th St. No. have made application to <br />the City of Hugo for a special use permit to construct a 26' X 8' <br />unattached garage (accessory building) in an SFU zone. The applicants <br />currently have 452 sq. ft. of garage and accessory buildings on site and <br />are requesting an additional 720 sq. ft. The Maximum allowable without a <br />4pecial use permit is 980 sq. ft. The unattached garage is to be located <br />north of the existing attached garage, 5' from the west property line, and <br />18' from the rear property line. Mr. Bighley has indicated that he <br />intends to expand his living quarters into the existing 14' X 2`2' attached <br />garage and utilize the proposed garage for storage of his automobile and <br />personal belonqinqs. This matter was reviewed by the Hugo Planning <br />Commission at a public hearing on September 2S, 1988, and said Commission <br />unanimously recommended approval of the Special Use Permit noting, <br />however, that the garage in question cannot be used for auto repair or <br />other commercial uses, and must be restricted 'to other types of storage <br />customary to a residence, and other special conditions. <br />Mr. Bighley was present at the Council meeting, and stated that he <br />understood that the proposed accessory building was to be used strictly <br />for residential purposes, and that no commercial use would tat -.-.e place in <br />the building. <br />Vail made motion, Peltier seconded, to approve a special use permit for <br />William and f --;wren Bighley, 5764 150th Street Norty, to construct a 26' x <br />28' unattached garage (accessory building) in an SFU zone, subject to the <br />following special conditions: <br />1. The proposed garage be Used for residential purposes only . <br />2.
