• i 112 MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL September 25, 1984 The special meeting was called to order by Mayor McAllister at 3:04 PM. PRESENT: Atkinson, Schwab, McAllister The meeting was scheduled to discuss, and adopt, the budget for the fiscal year 1985. Let the record that all requirements to hold a special meeting were met. MOTION: McAllister made motion, Schwab seconded, that the City of Hugo fund the White Bear Youth Service Bureau in the amount of $2500.00 and the Forest Lake Youth Service Bureau in the amount of $2,000.00. This funding to be taken from the carry over from fiscal year 1984. The bureaus to be notified that they will receive their money no sooner than the end of August, 1985. VOTING FOR: Schwab, McAllister VOTING AGAINST: Atkinson Motion Carried. MOTION: McAllister made motion, Schwab seconded, to set the salary for Carole LaBelle at $6.50/hour effective November 5, 1984. All aye. Motion Carried. MOTION: McAllister made motion, Schwab seconded, to set the salary for LuAnn Prachar at $9.00/hour effective November 5, 1984. All aye. Motion Carried. MOTION: McAllister made motion, Atkinson seconded, to set the salary for Mary Ann Creager at $11.00/hour effective November 5, 1984. All aye. Motion Carried. MOTION: McAllister made motion, Schwab seconded, that the City Council add $9000.00 to the anticipated police budget for fiscal year 1985. The money to be earmarked for the addition to the Hugo Sheriff Contract of 40 more hours of police patrol, effective October 1, 1985. VOTING FOR: Schwab, McAllister VOTING AGAINST: Atkinson Motion Carried. MOTION: Schwab made motion, Atkinson seconded, to approve the General Fund budget at $414,313.00 for the fiscal year 1985.
