2 tO NOVEMBER 7, 1974 MEETING OF THE BOARD OF CANVAS CITY OF HUGO <br /> The meeting of the Board of Canvas opened at 7:07 PM. LaValle, <br /> Martin, Smith present. Lease, Leroux absent. <br /> The Board of Canvas reviewed the tally sheet of votes cast, and <br /> took the following action: Motion kmade by Smith, seconded by <br /> LaValle that Howard Schletty is duly elected Councilman of Ward III <br /> of Hugo for a term of 4 years beginning January 1 , 1975. <br /> Lee Martin resigned from his position on the Ordinance Committee <br /> and recommedned that Jim Smith replace him. Martin based his <br /> resignation on the criticism he was receiving from Ward III and <br /> the statements made about. .the work of the Councilmen. He will be <br /> in Alabama the 18th and 19th and therefore will not be in attendance <br /> at the next Council meeting. He will turn his information regarding <br /> the Ordinance Committee over to Jim Smith as there is an Ordinance <br /> Committee meeting set up for November 20th and he will not attend. <br /> Marvin LaValle then appointed Jim Smith to replace Martin on the <br /> Ordinance Committee. <br /> Motion made and seconded to adjourn at 7:13 PM. <br /> o er E. ur ar , er <br /> City of Hugo <br />
