4 . Section 320-4 , Subd. O. <br /> The City Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended by adding an <br /> additional subdivision to be known as Section 320-4 , Subd. Q, <br /> entitled "Regulations for the Long Term Agriculture District <br /> (LTA) , " said regulations to read as follows : <br /> Subd. Q. Regulations for the Long Term Agriculture <br /> District (LTA) . <br /> Within the Long Term Agriculture District, unless <br /> otherwise provided in this Ordinance, no building or land <br /> shall be used and no building shall hereafter be erected or <br /> structurally altered except for one or more of the following <br /> uses : <br /> (1) Permitted Principal Uses . Agriculture uses, <br /> single-family dwelling unit, sod farming and tree <br /> farming. <br /> (2) Permitted Accessory Uses . One road side stand <br /> offering for sale only those products grown on the <br /> premises, provided that such stand does not exceed <br /> an area of five hundred (500) square feet , is <br /> located in conformance with the yard regulations, <br /> and provisions are made for adequate off-street <br /> parking and access; off-street parking space for <br /> all necessary and operable farm equipment and <br /> machinery; riding stables; horse trail rides; <br /> commercial animal training; swimming pools; and dog <br /> kennels . Private garage not exceeding 1, 000 square <br /> feet ; farm building (s) and accessory storage not <br /> exceeding 3 , 600 square feet for parcels of land up <br /> to twenty (20) acres, and unlimited for parcels of <br /> twenty (20) acres or more, provided in all cases <br /> and approved farm/accessory building site plan <br /> meeting the requirements of Section 320-5, Subd. I , <br /> is first submitted and approved. <br /> (3) Intent and Primary Use . The intent of the Long <br /> Term Agriculture District is to preserve commercial <br /> agriculture as a viable permanent land use and a <br /> significant economic activity within the community, <br /> and to encourage the use and improvement of <br /> agricultural lands for the production of food and <br /> other agricultural products . LTA Districts <br /> envision land which could be enrolled under the <br /> Agricultural Preservation Act (Minnesota Statute <br /> Chapter 473H) . <br /> 2 <br />
