CHAPTER 300 - UTILITIES <br />ARTICLE I - SEWER SYSTEM <br />300-1. SEWER DEPARTMENT. There is hereby established a <br />Sewer Department for the City of Hugo. The sewer system as now <br />constituted, or as shall hereafter be enlarged or extended, shall <br />be operated and maintained under the provisions of this Chapter <br />subject to the authority of the City Council at any time to amend, <br />alter, change or repeal the same. <br />300-2. MANAGEMENT. The City Council shall have the charge <br />and management of the sewer system subject to such delegation of <br />authority to the City Engineer, Sewer Superintendent, and to other <br />City employees as the City Council shall provide. <br />300-3. ADOPTION BY REFERENCE - MINNESOTA PLUMBING CODE, <br />The Minnesota Plumbing Code, filed with Secretary of State and the <br />Department of Administration June, 1969, and latest Revisions, is <br />hereby adopted and incorporated by reference as an Ordinance of <br />the City of Hugo, and except as specifically stated herein, the <br />Plumbing Inspector shall follow and enforce the provisions of said <br />Minnesota Plumbing Code, together with all amendments thereof. <br />Three (3) official copies of said Minnesota Plumbing Code <br />shall be marked and filed for use and examination by the public in <br />the office of the City Clerk. <br />300-4. DEFINITIONS. The terms used herein shall be defined <br />as set forth in the following subdivisions. <br />Subd. A. Building Drain. The building drain is that <br />part of the lowest horizontal piping of a building <br />drainage system which receives the discharge from other <br />drainage pipes and which lies within the perimeter of <br />the building. <br />Subd. B. Building Sewer. The building sewer is that <br />part of the ui i.ngrainage system that extends from <br />the building drain to the sewer service line at the <br />property line. The building sewer shall convey the water <br />liquid and water -carried waste of but one building except <br />upon special application approved by the City Engineer. <br />Subd. C. Sewer Service. The sewer service line is that <br />piping which receives t e building sewer discharge at <br />the property line and extends to the City sewer main <br />line in the utility easement, and is located entirely <br />within said utility easement. <br />
