ORDINANCE 1986-236
<br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 262 OF THE HUGO CITY
<br /> CODE ENTITLED "SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM" BY AMENDING
<br /> THE REQUIREMENTS FOR CITY SEWER INSTALLERS, THEIR
<br /> BOND, AND LIABILITY INSURANCE.
<br /> The City Council of the City of Hugo, Washington County, Minnnesota
<br /> does hereby ordain, to-wit:
<br /> 1 . In Chapter 262-6, Subd. A. (1) delete in line 7 "licensed plumbers or".
<br /> 2. In Chapter 262-6, Subd. C, delete in its entire and insert the following:
<br /> No sewer installer will be allowed to commence any sewer service, installa-
<br /> tion, nor allowed to make any connection of any building sewer to a sewer
<br /> line or to a sewer service, without first haveing obtained and deposited
<br /> with the City a License bond, or cash deposit, or irrevocable letter of
<br /> credit, in an amount of $5,000.00, in a form approved by the City, to
<br /> insure the construction and operation in accordance with the requirements
<br /> of this Chapter, and as security for safeguarding any damage to public
<br /> property. The bond, cash deposit, or irrevocable letter of credit, shall
<br /> remain in full force and effect for at least one year from the effective
<br /> date thereof, and in all cases, shall be continued in full force and
<br /> effect so long as said sewer installer is actively engaged in sewer work
<br /> in the City of Hugo.
<br /> 3. In Chapter 262-6, Subd. D, delete in Line 3 "such plumber, excavator".
<br /> In line 7 delete "Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00) and
<br /> insert "Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00) .
<br /> 4. In Chapter 262-6, Subd. E, delete in line 1 "excavator or".
<br /> In second paragraph, line 3 delete "an excavator or" and insert "a".
<br /> 5. In Chapter 262-8, in second paragraph, line 1 delete "and/or plumber".
<br /> 6. In Chapter 262-10, delete in line 2 "either" and "master plumber licensed
<br /> by the State of Minnesota or a".
<br /> In line 3, delete "plumbers" and insert "sewer installers".
<br /> 7. In Chapter 262-11 , Subd C, in line 6 delete "plumber" and insert "sewer
<br /> installer".
<br /> In line 7, delete "plumber" and insert "sewer installer".
<br /> 8. In Chapter 262-12, in 4th paragraph, line 2, insert "or" after " ," and
<br /> before "a".
<br /> In line 3, delete "or a plumber licensed by the State of Minnesota".
