ti <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 173 <br /> AN ORDINANCE ABOLISHING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR THE CITY OF <br /> HUGO, MINNESOTA, AND REPEALING CHAPTER 250 OF THE HUGO CITY <br /> CODE ENTITLED "POLICE" . <br /> The City Council of the City of Hugo, Washington County, <br /> Minnesota, hereby ordains: <br /> WHEREAS, the City can provide adequate police protection to <br /> protect persons and property and provide for the protection <br /> of the health and welfare of the citizens of City by contract <br /> for services for police protection; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, - <br /> 1 . The Police Department of the City is hereby abolished. <br /> 2. Chapter 250 of the Hugo City Code, entitled "POLICE" , <br /> which provides for the establishment of a Police Department <br /> for the City of Hugo, and the Rules and Regulations for <br /> the Government of the same is hereby repealed in its <br /> entirety. <br /> 3. This Ordinance shall be effective from and after its <br /> adoption and publication. <br /> ADOPTED AND PASSED THIS 13 DAY OF �-���=Z , 1980. <br /> Marvin LaValle, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> &-e <br /> Carol A.
