($300.00) shall be paid at the time of securing the permit for <br />connection after said twelve (12) month period, in addition to all <br />other fees and charges that may be applicable. Any owner failing <br />to connect as herein required shall also be subject to any penal- <br />ties provided in this Chapter. <br />262-8. PLUMBING INSPECTOR, The Plumbing Inspector <br />shall examine all applications before construction is begun and after <br />the construction, enlargement, alteration or repair is completed, <br />the Plumbing Inspector shall be notified. It shall be unlawful <br />to cover any affected lines until an inspection has been made and <br />such connection and the work incidental thereto has been approved <br />by the City as a proper and suitable connection. <br />It shall be the duty of the sewer installer and/or plumber <br />to notify the Plumbing Inspector by telephone or in writing, not <br />less than eight (8) working hours between the hours of 8 o'clock a.m. <br />and 4 o'clock p.m. before work is to be inspected or tested. <br />262-9. EXISTING DRAINAGE AND PLUMBING SYSTEMS. Prior <br />to connection to the public sanitary sewer system, the Plumbing <br />Inspector shall examine the existing drainage system and the in- <br />terior plumbing system. All such systems shall conform to the <br />requirements of this Chanter and the requirements of the Minnesota <br />Plumbing Code. In the event that such drainage system or plumbing <br />system is determined to be non -conforming to the above requirements, <br />the contractor, owner, or occupant shall do whatever corrective <br />work which may be necessary before final hook-up to the public <br />sanitary server system is made. The decision of the Plumbing <br />Inspector as to the extent of the corrective work to be done in <br />each individual case to conform to the above requirements shall <br />be final. <br />262-10. INSTALLATION OF CONNECTIONS. All sewer services <br />shall, be installed either by a master plumber licensed in the State <br />of Minnesota or a sewer installer licened by the City of Hugo. Any <br />owner, occupant or licensed plumber may install, repair or make <br />alterations to the building drain or building sewer lines provided <br />that said construction is conducted under the regulations of this <br />Chanter. Prior to receiving a hermit for plumbing work, as specified <br />herein, a satisfactory showing must be made that such plumber, ex- <br />cavator or sewer installer is carrying insurance with a company <br />licensed by the State of Minnesota, with the City as one of the <br />assureds, said policy insuring the City against liability and prop- <br />erty damage loss at least in the sum of One Hundred Thousand Dollars <br />($100,000.00), and Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00). <br />Exacavators and sewer installers shall nay an annual license fee <br />of Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) upon application for license to <br />the City Clerk. <br />262-11.
