4 1 WTOBER 25, 1976 MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL <br /> A SPECIAL MEETING <br /> Meeting called to order at 7:20 P.M. <br /> PRESENT: Lease, Leroux and Smith <br /> ABSENT: Schletty, LaValle <br /> Special meeting was called to further discuss the following storm <br /> sewer assessments: <br /> Huebl, Frank 20-2550 $1 ,059.47 21 ,189.45 sq. ft. <br /> Seifert, Richard K. 135-8600 $1 ,679.45 33,589 sq. ft. <br /> MOTION: Smith made motion, Leroux seconded to change the assessment <br /> for Frank Huebl, parcel 20-2550 from $1 ,059.47 assessed on <br /> 21 ,189.45 sq. ft. to $540.00 based on 10,800 sq. ft. <br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, Leroux and Smith <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> The Council after futher considering the Seifert parcel, was satisified <br /> that the assessment was justifiable. <br /> Council LaValle arrived at 7:55 P.M. <br /> Treasurer Bernier had asked LaValle if he could invest in passbook <br /> saving from the storm sewer sinking fund. <br /> MOTION: Lease made motion, Leroux seconded to authorize treasurer to <br /> invest $17,000 in passbook savings from the Storm Sewer Sink- <br /> ing Fund to cover interest payments in 1978. <br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, Leroux and Smith and LaValle. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> Mayor Lease stated he received a call from Grant Township pertaining <br /> to the one way street being developed in Grant Township. If the one <br /> way street would be developed, the maintenance would fall on the city <br /> of Hugo. Mayor Lease instructed the clerk to send a letter to Grant <br /> Township relating this problem and to suggest a second outlet be <br /> developed over the Soo Line Railroad tracks. <br /> Lease made motion, LaValle seconded to adjourn meeting at 8:45 P.M. <br /> 00A(0._ a <br /> Carol A.
