Juba concluded by stating that Staff recommended the interim use permit to be approved for <br />three years, subject to the conditions listed in the permit. <br />Chair Gwynn stated that he had stopped at the greenhouse last summer and believed it was a nice <br />addition to Hugo. He did not see any issues with traffic flow or condition. <br />Commissioner Knauss asked if the split rail fencing will be installed and taken down along with <br />construction of the greenhouse. <br />Planner Juba stated that the fence will be put up and taken down every retail season. <br />Chair Gwynn opened the public hearing. <br />Joseph Marier approached the podium and stated that he appreciated all that the City does for <br />residents of Hugo and kindly thanked the Commission for hearing their application request. <br />Chair Gwynn closed the public hearing. <br />Rosenquist made a motion, Kleissler seconded, to approve the application for an interim use <br />permit allowing a temporary 1,638 square foot (21'x78') greenhouse for seasonal outdoor retail <br />sale of plants. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Appointment of Member for the Gateway Subcommittee <br />Planner, Juba, explained that from application requests, previous meetings, and planning for <br />Lions Park, there have been many conversations regarding entry monuments in Hugo. City staff <br />is recommending a subcommittee comprised of members from Planning Commission, EDA, <br />Parks, and the City Council. These meetings will be held to discuss element designs in hopes to <br />create a cohesive and welcoming entrance into the City of Hugo through signage. <br />Rosenquist motioned, Gwynn seconded, to appoint Commissioner Arcand as a member for the <br />gateway subcommittee. <br />Adiournment <br />Rosenquist motioned, Kleissler seconded, to adjourn at 7:17 p.m. <br />All Ayes.
