162 NOVEMBER 19, 1979 <br /> Mrs. Peltier was present and stated that she will have need of new members :on-the <br /> Ordinance Committee after the first of the year. The clerk will place an add in <br /> the paper to seek replacements. <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, that Mr. Richard Houde <br /> be appointed a member of the Ordinance Committee. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Schletty, Irsfeld and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> It was also noted that the Special Meeting of the Planning Commission on 11/28/79 to <br /> discuss pole barns has been postponed to December 13, 1979, at 7:00 P.M. <br /> 7.0 UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> Attorney Johnson stated that he had met with the property owners regarding the <br /> Bridge Replacement Program, and everyone is in general agreement with the layout <br /> as submitted by Kuusisto. The main concern is comming up with an':agreeable method of <br /> handling fence removal and relocation. LaValle stated that $1 .00/Ft. has been agreed <br /> upon. Mr. Gene Leroux was present at the meeting, and discussed the loss of his <br /> trees and bushes, and the need for resodding. City officials will meet with Mr. <br /> Leroux to straighten out these matters. <br /> 9.0 CLERK <br /> Bernie McDermaid had requested the return of the $200.00 he had submitted to the city. <br /> He was under the impression that the money was provided to insure the construction <br /> of July Avenue. LaValle stated that the $200.00 covered title insurance. The <br /> City Clerk will check the records to determine status. <br /> The city has received a letter from Governor Quie requesting that the city designate <br /> an emergency housing center, open 24 hours a day, where individuals can go to stay <br /> warm. <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, that the City of Hugo will <br /> designate City Hall as the Emergency Relief Shelter for the residents <br /> of the city. To obtain access to the building the following parties <br /> can be contacted: Washington County Sheriff's Office (439-7300) or <br /> Mayor LaValle at 429-2051 . <br /> VOTING FOR: LaVAlle, Schletty, Irsfeld and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> TREE INSPECTOR <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, that the permit fee for the <br /> storage, utilization, and houling in of firewood by tree removal con- <br /> tractors be set at $20.00/permit. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Schletty, Irsfeld and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br />
