171 <br /> December 3, 1979 <br /> Attorney Johnson stated the various costs incurred for easements and replacing of <br /> fencing and shrubs for the Bridge Replacement Program. <br /> MOTION Irsfeld made motion, seconded by Vail, that the Mayor and City Clerk be <br /> authorized to sign easements, and to pay easements and fencing fees and <br /> tree and shrub replacements in the amount of $3,002.00, for the Bridge <br /> Replacement Program. <br /> VOTING FOR: Spitzer, Schietty, Irsfeld and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> Attorney Johnson will contact Washington County regarding the Bridge Replacement <br /> Program to provide the city with the option to reject the bids if necessary. <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Schletty, that the John Norton Special <br /> Use Permit be laid over to December 17, 1979. If Mr. Norton wishes <br /> to pursue the matter, is to contact the City Clerk. <br /> VOTING FOR: Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 6.8 Engineer <br /> Mr. Kuusisto submitted his monthly report. Kuusisto discussed the three lots on 8A and <br /> Goodview Avenue. Lot 2 cannot be released as yet. Kuusisto suggested that as a <br /> possible alternative to pumping to Lot 2, the Bramstedt's bring their lot up to the <br /> required elevations and let that set. This would keep the lots separate. <br /> 6.9 Clerk <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Schietty, that the City Clerk be directed <br /> to contact the buyers of the Gerald Ensign property, to try and resolve <br /> the issue of hookup to the sanitary sewer. <br /> VOTING FOR: Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, to vacate the temporary <br /> appointment of James Fure as acting Police Chief, effective 11/26/79. <br /> VOTING FOR: Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> The clerk's office has been contacted by the United Power Association regarding the <br /> installation of power lines within the city. Mrs. Theodora Peltier, Chairwoman of <br /> the Ordinance Committee, is to be contacted to draft an Utility Franchise Ordinance. <br /> The clerk was instructed to notify the UPA that the city would like to have them <br /> appear at a City Council meeting to explain what is to take place in the city. <br />
