<br /> The meeting was called to order by Mayor LaValle at 7:14 PM.
<br /> PRESENT: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail
<br /> 3.0—APPROVAL--APPROVAL OF MINUTES
<br /> MOTION: Schletty made motion, seconded by Vail, to approve the minutes of
<br /> August 18, 1980, after the following corrections have been made:
<br /> Page 1 - Irsfeld made motion, seconded by Schletty, to approve the
<br /> minutes of the August 4, 1980 meeting.
<br /> Page 2 (ordinances) - LaValle made motion, seconded by Spitzer, to
<br /> adopt ORDINANCE 173, AN ORDINANCE ABOLISHING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
<br /> FOR THE CITY OF HUGO, MINNESOTA, AND REPEALING CHAPTER 250 OF THE
<br /> HUGO CITY CODE ENTITLED "POLICE".
<br /> Delete "Also correct" to "the Department".
<br /> Page 2 (7) - delete "only". City will pay for actual cost.
<br /> Page 2 (8) - delete "Council tabled'.' to "for further discussion".
<br /> Add - Attorney directed to study the request.
<br /> Page 3 (Buschmann) - Spitzer made motion to commence a nuisance vio-
<br /> lation proceeding

<br /> MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, seconded by Spitzer, to approve the General Claims
<br /> for September 2, 1980, as submitted.

<br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Vail, to approve the Utility Claims
<br /> for September 2, 1980, as submitted.

<br /> 5.0 PETITIONS, REQUESTS, COMMUNICATIONS & LICENSES'
<br /> 5.1 Garbage License Renewals
<br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Vail, to grant a license for the
<br /> collection of garbage and rubbish to WOODLAKE SNAITARY SERVICE, for
<br /> a fee of $50.00, unger Chapter 120 of the Hugo City Code.
